The 14th season of Power Rangers, this series has been adapted from the popular Super Sentai series in Japan. This particular adaptation is based off of Mahou Sentai Magiranger (Magic Taskforce Magiranger). If you aren't familiar with the Power Rangers/Super Sentai series, here's a basic primer: a team of young adults (usually 5) are brought together to conquer the impending rise of evil in the world. They get morphers/changers to transform into their ranger form, complete with enhanced powers and powerful weapons & skills. The rangers also have the ability to call upon zords/mecha that aid them in defeating the dark forces after they've grown in size. There is usually a mentor that resides at their base of operations. He/she sometimes even fights alongside the ranger team.

Power Rangers Mystic Force is about the world of magic and how it affects our everyday lives, whether we know it or not. Long ago, there was a dimension full of magic. With the rise of evil in the world, a great war began between the darkness and the light. The darkness was set on conquering the human realm for full supremacy. But a team of powerful wizards came forth to defend all that was good & true. Using their power, they were able to fend off the evil invaders. The strongest wizard then imprisoned the evil forces in the Underworld, kept at bay with a magical seal. This victory would drain the life out of the valiant wizards though, and the human realm would never know about the legendary battle that saved them from destruction.

Over the years though, evil has gradually grown stronger in power, enabling them to once again wreak havoc upon the populace after an earthquake broke the magic seal that kept them down below. With the world once again in danger, the great sorceress Udonna has called upon five courageous teens to defend the world once more from the encroaching darkness using the power of magic.

The Rangers

Udonna - White Mystic Ranger
Portrayed by Peta Rutter, Udonna is not only the rangers' mentor, but is also the White Mystic Ranger. Drawing her power from the crystal white snow, Udonna is not only pure in spirit but just as fierce as a blinding blizzard. After battling with Koragg, she was stripped of her powers after he claimed her Snow Staff as a trophy. She now remains at Root Core, the rangers' base of operations with her trusty apprentice, Clare.

Nick Russell - Red Mystic Ranger
Played by Firass Dirani, Nick is a bit of an outsider who finds himself as part of the team when he's the first to volunteer to aid an elderly gentleman find his brother, who was actually Udonna in disguise hoping to find a few good souls to become the new team of rangers. As the leader of the rangers, he wields the power of Fire, which he derives from the mystic guardian, the Phoenix.

Chip Thorn - Yellow Mystic Ranger
Nic Sampson is Chip, an adventurous fellow whose forte is the comic superhero. He's always about saving the day, whether it's in one of his fantasies or when he's battling evil with the rest of the rangers. Chip has unusual taste, for he likes to chow down on chicken pizza topped with chocolate marshmallows. A master of the bow, Chip's element is lightning and is empowered by the mystic guardian, the Garuda.

Xander Bly - Green Mystic Ranger
Xander, played by Richard Brancatisano, is a very genial individual. Instead of trying to resort of fisticuffs when it comes to confrontations, he always tries to charm his way out of dangerous situations. This usually doesn't result in such, as evil doesn't care for that. His power comes from the Earth, and is protected by the mystic guardian, the Taurus.

Madison Rocca - Blue Mystic Ranger
Melanie Vallejo plays Madison, a reserved girl aspiring to become an avid filmmaker. Best behind the camera, she shoots clips of all of her friends, including her sister, fellow ranger Vida. While she may seem a bit shy, she doesn't back down from a battle, especially when it comes to those she loves and cares about. Madison has control over the element of water and her mystic guardian is the Mermaid.

Vida Rocca - Pink Mystic Ranger
Vida, portrayed by Angie Diaz, is the resident DJ at Rock Porium, the record store that all of the rangers work at when not saving the world. She's a very spirited girl who may seem like a bit of a tomboy at first glance, but is really quite the opposite once you get to know her. She will defend her sister Madison when people make the wrong assumptions about her. Her power comes from wind and her mystic guardian is the Sprite.

Daggeron - Solaris Knight
John Tui plays Daggeron, the sixth ranger who had sealed himself up in a cave to keep Calindor from leaving. Now, Daggeron trains the rangers for the upcoming battle against the demons of the Underworld with the help of his trusted feline genie, Genji. He can use Genji's lamp as a weapon, able to convert it to fit the situation at hand. Rays of light from the sun are what empower his ability to conquer evil.
